Our History

Since 1995, Sq1 has pushed the bounds of how brands can utilize data in advertising. Founded in Dallas by Ernie Capobianco, Sq1 quickly blossomed into an award-winning agency that has garnered a whole slew of accolades. Ernie ran Sq1 by four core values—Creative, Curious, Strategic, and Fearless—that we still adhere to today.

In 2010, Gabe Winslow and John Holmes partnered with Ernie and Judge Graham to establish Sq1 West in Portland, OR. Our headquarters has shifted from Dallas to Portland since Sq1 was adopted by CRM marketing firm, Ansira.

With 6 kids, Gabe is a very busy man at home. But in the rare times he has to himself, Gabe indulges in fine bourbon (go figure), board games, hiking, and self-professed nerdy fascinations.
